Years of expertise have yielded textile materials to take the temperature and thermal abuse of many primary metal production applications. Our TREO® insulation blanket does not form cristobalite but melts at high temperature yielding a virtual non-contaminant in the molten metal process. Many other insulation materials form cristobalite at high temperatures which are then found as contaminants in the molten metal pools.
